The fallout of President Trump’s JCPOA decision

    When: Thursday, May 17, 2018, 10:00 — 11:30 a.m.

Where: The Brookings Institution, Saul/Zilkha Room, 1775 Massachusetts Ave, NW, Washington, DC

    What:

On May 8, President Donald Trump declared that the U.S. would re-impose nuclear sanctions on Iran, withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). At a precarious time for the Middle East, his decision will have important ramifications in the region and beyond.

On May 17, the Center for Middle East Policy (CMEP) at Brookings will host a discussion on the consequences of President Trump’s decision on the JCPOA. The conversation will feature Brookings scholars Robert Einhorn, Suzanne Maloney, and Bruce Riedel. CMEP Director Natan Sachs will moderate the discussion.

After the discussion, panelists will take questions from the audience. Follow the conversation at #IranDeal.
