The Center for Universal Education at Brookings (CUE) cordially invites you to the Girls' Education Research Symposium: Approaches to Developing Life Skills for Girls. This series of thematic conversations will explore approaches to girls’ life skills development based on the research of the 2016 Echidna Global Scholars, which covers a variety of topics in girls’ life skills development such as girls’ empowerment programming, the role of teachers and mentors, and building resilience to climate change.
The panel discussions will include brief presentations from the Echidna Global Scholars on their research on girls' education in their home countries of Kenya, Nepal, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, followed by a moderated discussion with other experts in their thematic areas. To conclude, questions will be taken from the audience.
