The Las Vegas debate will address what kind of military the United States needs to confront current and future threats, how the U.S. military should be postured at home and around the globe, and the scope for greater burden-sharing between the United States and its allies.

POLITICO’s chief international affairs columnist and host of "The Global Politico," Susan Glasser, will moderate the debate. Mahsa Saeidi, a reporter at KTNV Action News, will moderate a question-and-answer with the audience.
