LIVE WEBCAST -- Reflecting on Trump’s first 100 days
Eighth annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy

    When: Monday, April 24, 2017, 9:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. EDT

    Where: https://www.brookings.edu/events/reflecting-on-trumps-first-100-days/

    What:

In the first months of his presidency, Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership, approved construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, and saw the confirmation of a new Supreme Court justice. While the failure to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act represented a legislative setback for the president, Trump has demonstrated a willingness to utilize executive orders to fulfill campaign promises, including the controversial travel ban. Have the first 100 days set a precedent for the remainder of the president’s term? What has the Trump administration accomplished in its first several months? And what can Americans expect going forward?

On April 24, Governance Studies at Brookings will host a half-day forum to look back on the first 100 days of the Trump presidency and look forward to what policies may come in the future. As part of the eighth annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy, several panels of experts will convene to examine Trump-era policies on national security, taxes and regulations, and public management.

After the session, panelists will take audience questions. This event will be live webcast. Join the conversation on Twitter using #100Days or @BrookingsGov.
