On March 22, Foreign Policy at Brookings will host the minister of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Adel Al-Jubeir, for an Alan and Jane Batkin International Leaders Forum. In his remarks, the foreign minister will provide perspectives on Saudi Arabia’s role as a regional leader for stability and reconstruction. He will also discuss the importance of maintaining key bilateral relationships to promote the restoration of security and stability in the Middle East.
An alum of Georgetown University, Foreign Minister Al-Jubeir previously served as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States until he was appointed foreign minister by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz on April 29, 2015.
Brookings President John R. Allen will provide introductory remarks. Following the foreign minister’s address, Brookings Vice President and Director of Foreign Policy Bruce Jones, will join him for a conversation on these themes.
