Vital Statistics on Congress

For more than 30 years, scholars Tom Mann and Norm Ornstein have been studying Congress and releasing all of their data in a collection they call Vital Statistics on Congress. This year, they're doing something a little different: they're releasing all of the data publicly via the web (find it here) and encouraging users like you to dig in to it. They want to know what trends you see, what visualizations you create, and anything else interesting you find in the data.

You can share your findings with us!

We'll be sharing the best of what we see on the Brookings social media channels and on the Brookings website.

There are two ways to share:

  1. Post a link to your findings on Twitter or Facebook and include the hashtag #VitalStats.
  2. Submit your findings using the webform on the right side of this page.
