Leveraging Veteran Talent in Registered Apprenticeship
Body

Veterans and transitioning service members possess a wealth of soft and technical skills and professional experience and perform well in demanding scenarios. These strengths make them ideal candidates for employers seeking qualified, diverse talent for their registered apprenticeship programs. Employers and veterans can also access substantial funding and support for apprenticeships through federal and state programs. However, veterans are too often overlooked for apprenticeships.

Please join the Urban Institute for a conversation about the advantages of veteran apprenticeship and ways to access this talent pool. We will introduce a new Urban Institute resource designed to help employers and apprenticeship sponsors hire veteran apprentices, and a service member–moderated discussion on navigating this opportunity and accessing resources will follow. The discussion will feature experts from the US Departments of Veterans Affairs and Labor and a veteran employer and sponsor of a registered apprenticeship program.
