President Biden promised an assertive and comprehensive approach to antitrust enforcement and competition policy that put consumers and workers first. In 2021, he appointed Lina Khan at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Jonathan Kanter at the Department of Justice (DOJ) to fulfill that commitment.

On October 5, join the Center for Technology Innovation for an in-person and live-streamed conversation with FTC Chair Lina Khan and DOJ Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter on antitrust enforcement. Khan and Kanter will discuss their efforts thus far to toughen merger enforcement, revise the merger guidelines and merger reporting requirements, revitalize criminal antitrust enforcement, initiate competition rulemaking, challenge big tech and apply antitrust principles in labor markets. Khan and Kanter will also talk about the challenges and opportunities they have encountered: in the courts, the business community and on the Hill, and their priorities going forward.
