The 2025 Economic Report of the President

Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. EST
The Brookings Institution, Falk Auditorium, 1775 Massachusetts Ave. NW. Washington, D.C.

Each year, the Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) produces the Economic Report of the President (ERP) to provide an overview of the state of the U.S. economy and highlight the administration’s economic policy goals.

On January 9, the Brookings Economic Studies program will host CEA senior economists and authors of the 2025 ERP to discuss several chapters of this year’s report. CEA Chair Jared Bernstein will open with an overview of the report followed by CEA Senior Economists Kathryn Holston, Gregory Casey, and Laura Wherry, who will present on macro, climate, and health policy, respectively. A reaction panel will follow to address the larger question of “What is good governance?”

Viewers can join the conversation and ask questions in advance by emailing events@brookings.edu or on X @BrookingsEcon using the hashtag #ERP.
