US-China trade wars: A conversation with Michael Froman
A Jeffrey A. Bader Memorial Lecture

Friday, September 12, 2025, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. EDT
Location: The Brookings Institution, Falk Auditorium, 1775 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20036

Where is the U.S.-China trade war heading? How will it impact global supply chains? Will a “deal” be struck, and what will it look like?  As tensions over trade endure between the world’s two largest economies, rarely has there been more noise and less insight into where things are heading—and there is little clarity on whether a stable U.S.-China trade relationship is even possible.

On Friday, September 12, join the John L. Thornton China Center at Brookings for a fireside chat on the U.S.-China trade war and its implications for global and U.S. markets with former U.S. Trade Representative and Council on Foreign Relations President Michael Froman.
