June 24 marks two years since Roe v. Wade was overturned, ending the constitutional right to an abortion. In the two years since the end of Roe, many states have enacted near total abortion bans and severe restrictions, with some exceptions for medical complications. These exceptions have not stopped many women from being refused life-saving medical care for complications related to pregnancy. Legislation cannot deal effectively with the myriad of medical issues that arise from pregnancy.

On June 13, join Governance Studies in the Brookings Institution to discuss why abortion access should be a health issue, not a legislative one.
