Now a distinguished fellow in residence at the Hutchins Center at Brookings, Bernanke explains the evolution of monetary policy over the past 70 years and speculates on its future in a new book, “21st Century Monetary Policy: The Federal Reserve from the Great Inflation to COVID-19.”
On May 23, Bernanke will talk about how and why the Fed’s monetary policy has changed and the challenges that it faces today and may face in the future. After his comments, David Wessel, director of the Hutchins Center, will interview him.
