Black boys enter the world with promise and dreams just like white boys across the globe. Yet, our current institutions and practices in the United States make realizing those dreams challenging, often from as early as preschool. How do we create the conditions for success for Black boys?
On October 31, join the Race, Prosperity, and Inclusion Initiative at Brookings for an event to elevate innovative thinking about approaches and policies that ensure the well-being and success of Black boys, both within and outside of the formal school setting. Two of the nation's foremost experts on Black male success, Julius Davis and Tyrone Howard, will join Camille Busette in conversation to discuss how to create a culture of care that promotes the success of Black boys.
Viewers can submit questions for speakers by emailing events@brookings.edu or tweeting to @BrookingsGov using #SuccessforBlackBoys.
