When: Thursday, December 3, 2020, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. EST
What: With a U.S. presidential transition underway, foreign policy watchers have been speculating about the future of U.S. policy in one of the world's most consequential regions: the Indo-Pacific. Questions are accumulating about where a new administration will focus its early energies and what steps are needed to restore U.S. relationships with key allies and partners.
On December 3, the Center for East Asia Policy Studies at the Brookings Institution will virtually host United States Senator Tammy Duckworth for a discussion on the future of U.S. alliances in the Indo-Pacific. Following the keynote conversation, a group of policy experts will discuss regional perspectives on the Indo-Pacific from the standpoint of India, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
