The future of public service

Sixteenth Annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy

Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. EDT
Online: https://www.brookings.edu/events/the-future-of-public-service

It has been an eventful time for public service in America. With recent budget and staff cuts in the federal administration and growing concern about the civil service, it is time to discuss why public service is important, how the current administration is affecting the civil service, and what we want government to look like in the future.

On May 6, as part of the sixteenth annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy, join Governance Studies at Brookings for a webinar with leading analysts to evaluate recent changes to the civil service and think through what they mean for the future of governance in the United States.

Viewers can submit questions for the speakers by emailing events@brookings.edu or on X/Twitter @BrookingsGov using #PublicService.
