On Wednesday, June 13, Wayne State University and the World Affairs Council of Detroit will host a debate on globalization and the American worker. This debate, convened by the Brookings Institution’s Foreign Policy program and the Charles Koch Institute, in partnership with POLITICO, is the sixth in a series of thematic debates on America’s role in the world.
Hosted in cities around the United States, this series seeks to foster a vigorous, civil and constructive national discussion on the future of American foreign policy. The Detroit debate will address how the United States has approached free trade since the Cold War, the impact of globalization on U.S. workers, and the future of the American economy in an interconnected world.
