Amid a period of historic disruption to international aid, education actors around the world are calling for a reimagined global education agenda that is more inclusive, locally informed, and shaped by a broader range of voices. To better understand how the education and development community are experiencing this moment, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings and the International Education Funders Group conducted the Global Listening Survey, gathering input from thousands of practitioners, policymakers, funders, and advocates.

On June 18, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings will host a conversation on what it will take to build an equitable and inclusive post-2030 global education agenda. The discussion will examine how the Global Listening Survey’s insights resonate across contexts and discuss concrete ways governments, networks, and funders are beginning to respond in practice.
