The 2024 Republican National Convention will showcase a rare scenario. This will be former President Donald Trump’s third convention in a row as the party’s nominee as he attempts to defeat President Biden, the man who defeated him four years ago. Conventions are a rare opportunity for the parties to showcase support for their selected presidential candidates. They can also serve as a venue to hash out inner-party disagreements and come to a consensus on a broader agenda for their national vision.
On July 22, join Governance Studies at Brookings for a webinar to discuss the Republican National Convention and what it means for the November elections.
Viewers can submit questions via email to events@brookings.edu or via X (formerly Twitter) @BrookingsGov using #RNCTakeaways.
