Nearly four months into the second Trump administration, we have seen a flurry of executive orders and drastic restructuring of government agencies. How have the legislative and judicial branches responded to these early actions of the Trump administration?
On May 21, join the Katzmann Initiative at Brookings for a webinar to discuss the critical role that U.S. political institutions play in providing checks and balances to the executive branch. Panelists will examine how Congress has facilitated the President’s agenda, the response of the judicial branch to the numerous lawsuits related to the administration’s actions, and the cabinet confirmation process.
Viewers can submit questions for the speakers by emailing events@brookings.edu or on X/Twitter @BrookingsGov using #AmericanInstitutionsRespond.
