In May, a Brookings delegation including Suzanne Maloney, Ryan Hass, Patricia Kim, Cheng Li, Kenneth Lieberthal, Ryan McElveen, and Margaret Pearson visited Beijing to engage in the 10th round of the Brookings-CICIR Dialogue on the Future of U.S.-China Relations.
The delegation met with CCP International Department Minister Liu Jianchao, Executive Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, CPCCC Director Liu Jieyi, counterparts at Tsinghua University, and colleagues at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.
